Dr. Raya Asalatha

Dr. Raya Asalatha is a renowned obstetrician, gynaecologist, specialist in reproductive medicine, laparoscopic surgeon and high-risk pregnancy expert. With three decades of experience in her profession, she is currently the Managing Director of Asalatha Test Tube Baby and Research Centre, located in Tirupati.

The hospital, now also known as Ashalatha IVF Centre, was established in 1986 as a complete gynae, obstetrics and general surgery hospital. The hospital has excelled in providing patient care over the years and has seen progressive growth with the establishment of a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy unit. It became a recognised reproductive medicine unit with the introduction of IVF and ICSI assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatment. The centre provides comprehensive treatment to numerous infertile couples with Assisted Reproduction at an affordable price, and is known for good success and carry home baby rates. Asalatha Test Tube Baby and Research Centre is fully equipped with modern facilities, state-of-the-art equipment, a dedicated team of gynaecologists, an embryologist, staff nurses and OT team.

Dr. Raya Asalatha has an MBBS and DGO as her qualifications, and has also received specialised training in the form of the Advanced Course in ICSI from the Embryology Academy for Research and Training (EART) in Mumbai. In 2012 she received the Indira Gandhi Sadbhavana Gold Medal award from the Global Economic Progress and Research Association, for outstanding individual and distinguished service in the medical field of infertility and IVF. In her professional capacity, Dr. Asalatha has conducted deliveries for two generations, and has rich experience in all aspects of her areas of specialisation. She has conducted and organised many health camps, social education programmes and academic conferences over the years. Her social activities include contributions of scholarships to poor students on a regular basis, providing free health check-ups and distributing medicines free of cost in surrounding villages.
